A Fax Receiver can be operating from any computer
running windows XP with a modem and phone line connected. The
Fax Receiver takes all faxes received and makes them available from
any workstation using CO Programs. This provides all users
with faxing receiving capabilities without having to give them
their own fax line.
Security Flag: Having one fax number
collected by only a few individuals prevents documents from being
printed at many locations but permits all users with access to
collect faxes as they would from a fax machine.
The Receiver works with XP Fax Services, which
collects, prints and stores faxes on the local machine. The program
watches the directory on the local machine and when a new file is
added it copies the file to the Server directory. In addition
if the file is sent in condensed mode (low resolution) the file is
adjusted to normal resolution for better viewing.
Fax files collected by program users are stored
directly in the database and encrypted for security. Printed copies
could be stored in a log file and discarded at the end of each
year.
Faxes may be retrieved from Collected faxes and
transferred directly into a loan file or the work space.
[New Feature] Faxes may now also be emailed
directly to any e-mail recipient and copied to a second
sender.
Fax e-mail supports any smtp e-mail server
including sent using SSL and authentication.
