We have been designing and using computer
software since 1972. One of the biggest problems in designing
software and the User interface is the "tipping point of
usability". The tipping point occurs about 30 minutes
after you learn how to use the program. The tipping point
represents the point in which you are no longer a beginner but an
experienced user. The point in which the beginner stuff to
guide you through a process now is no longer relevant and usually
gets in the way. The extra time consuming stuff that is only
important when you do not know what to de next.
