The best way to maintain and be the keep of any database is to watch as it is being used. That is why we are developing our COViewLog program.  This program is run by an administrator or office manager.  Its purpose is to watch the flow of information as it's is being processed in the system.

You can view transactions as they are being entered:

By watching the data as it's happening you can easily gauge the level of activity going on in the business.  You can review the data and notice a pattern of activity, which will be a sign that someone is not properly trained or they may be experiencing difficulties.

I often would call up a user and ask them if they need help because I noticed they were having problems in the data.  Once they realize that someone is watching they pay more attention to the details and the information becomes more accurate.

By reviewing the Message file you can learn a lot about what is happening on a file at the time it happens.

In addition you can query for key words or individual users messages to watch out for certain key events.  You can combine queries and save them for future use.
